Packaging Design Agency in Saudi Arabia

Packaging Design Agency in Saudi Arabia

Packaging systems designed for Saudi shelves, e-commerce, bilingual information and SKU growth.

We help brands compete in Saudi Arabia with a clear commercial system built around pack architecture, visual hierarchy, labels, SKU systems, bilingual information planning and production artwork. The work is structured for real buying journeys, not generic “Middle East” assumptions.

Riyadh and Jeddah are treated as distinct commercial contexts. Strategy, proof, language planning, content and channel priorities can change by city while the brand remains consistent across the Kingdom.

Approach

Saudi Arabia packaging design is a system problem, not one beautiful front panel

A single hero pack may be simple. The real challenge begins when flavours, sizes, languages, barcodes, ingredients, claims, nutrition, regulatory copy and retail requirements multiply across a product family.

We start with hierarchy: what must be seen first at distance, what earns trust at hand-held range, and what production/legal information must remain readable. That hierarchy becomes a reusable architecture for every SKU.

Arabic is Saudi Arabia’s official language and English is widely used. Where product-category rules or the client’s market strategy require bilingual information, we plan the pack to carry it cleanly. Compliance copy itself remains the responsibility of the client and qualified regulatory advisers unless separately commissioned.

Selected work

Our responsibilities

A useful proposal identifies the deliverables, languages, revision stages, approval owners, schedule and usage rights. Production, media, licences and third-party costs are itemised separately, and changes to the agreed scope are approved before additional work.

Project brief

Tell us what the business needs to change, which audience and market matter, what already exists, and who will approve the work. A launch date and an indicative budget help us propose a realistic scope.

Service Scope

What the engagement can include

The scope is built around the problem, not around a pre-filled package. The following capabilities can be combined where they are genuinely required.

Pack architecture

Front, side and back information hierarchy planned across the full product family.

Box, label & container graphics

Artwork systems for cartons, labels, sleeves, pouches, bottles, jars or other agreed formats.

SKU differentiation

Colour, flavour, size and product-level coding designed to remain clear without fragmenting the brand.

Bilingual-ready layout

English/Arabic or multi-language information zones planned around approved copy and required reading order.

Dieline application

Approved design adapted to supplier dielines with bleed, safe areas, folds, cuts and finishing notes.

Prepress coordination

Production files checked against confirmed print process, colour, material and finishing specifications before release.

Right Problem

When this service is the right fit — and when it is not

A strong scope starts by deciding whether this is the right service for the problem. That protects budget, keeps specialist work separate and prevents a broad agency package from becoming the default answer to every brief.

Use this scope when…

New FMCG, food, beverage, beauty or wellness products entering Saudi Arabia retail or e-commerce.

Use this scope when…

Existing product families that have grown into inconsistent SKUs and need one coherent packaging system.

Use this scope when…

International brands adapting pack hierarchy or language architecture for Saudi Arabia/GCC rollout.

Do not force it when…

Packaging compliance is not legal advice. Required regulatory text, claims and category approvals must be confirmed by the client and appropriate Saudi Arabia specialists.

Working Process

A defined process from brief to measurable output

01

Audit product family

Collect SKUs, dimensions, claims, mandatory content, competitor packs and sales environments.
02

Build hierarchy

Decide what the shopper sees first, second and at close range.
03

Design concepts

Develop visual directions on realistic pack formats, not only flat moodboards.
04

Extend SKUs

Stress-test the system across sizes, flavours, languages and product tiers.
05

Prepare production

Apply approved artwork to supplier dielines and issue agreed prepress files.
Deliverables & Boundaries

Deliverables and responsibilities

  • Dieline discipline: Final artwork follows the confirmed supplier template; dimensions are not guessed from a mock-up.
  • Copy ownership: Ingredients, nutrition, legal claims, barcodes and regulatory text are client/qualified-adviser approved before final release.
  • Shelf hierarchy: The pack should remain identifiable when surrounded by competitors and when seen at small e-commerce thumbnail size.
  • Finishing realism: Foil, emboss, varnish or special materials are designed with production feasibility and budget in mind.
  • Scope boundary: Packaging compliance is not legal advice. Required regulatory text, claims and category approvals must be confirmed by the client and appropriate Saudi Arabia specialists.
  • Scope boundary: Physical prototyping, printing and procurement can be coordinated separately after the design and supplier specifications are confirmed.
Budget & Scope

Project budget

There is no useful single price without a defined scope. The commercial proposal should show which decisions, deliverables, production responsibilities and third-party costs are included so different suppliers can be compared on the same basis.

Pack structureA supplied dieline is different from designing or coordinating a new structural pack format.
SKU countMultiple flavours, sizes or variants require a scalable hierarchy and disciplined version control.
Bilingual densityArabic/English information can significantly change spacing, hierarchy and the available front-of-pack area.
Regulatory contentIngredients, claims, nutrition, warnings, barcodes and client-approved legal text must be accommodated without compromising clarity.
Production & proofingPrint method, substrates, finishes, colour limits, white ink, metallics and supplier proofs can affect final artwork preparation.
Quality & Measurement

Quality and measurement

Shelf clarity

Can the shopper identify brand, product, variant and key benefit quickly?

Family logic

Do multiple SKUs look related while remaining easy to distinguish?

Information control

Are bilingual, regulatory and barcode zones readable without overwhelming the pack?

Production readiness

Can the chosen printer or manufacturer use the supplied artwork without preventable technical ambiguity?

Saudi Arabia is not one generic market: Riyadh and Jeddah can require different proof, language emphasis, channel choices and buying-journey design.
Saudi Arabia: Riyadh & Jeddah

Market and delivery

Saudi Arabia is scaling across technology, tourism, logistics, finance, manufacturing, healthcare, entertainment, real estate and professional services. That growth creates demand for stronger brands and digital systems, but the useful strategy still depends on the city, sector, transaction value and buyer.

Packaging Design Riyadh

Riyadh packaging briefs often support growing consumer brands, wellness, beauty, food, gifting and premium products entering organised retail or e-commerce. The pack needs a clear hierarchy, bilingual information planning, SKU scalability and production discipline rather than a single decorative front panel.

Packaging Design Jeddah

Jeddah has strong relevance for F&B, hospitality, gifting, beauty, retail and imported/product-led businesses. Shelf impact, Arabic/English reading order, variant recognition and production practicality are key when packaging must perform across local retail and e-commerce environments.

This page is intentionally written in English for international, regional and Saudi decision-makers who search in English. Arabic should not be treated as a mechanical translation layer. When Arabic copy, RTL design or Arabic-first campaign development is required, that language work should be scoped deliberately with qualified native review or client-approved Saudi partners.

Ali Tarhan Digital Atelier works internationally and does not claim an office in Riyadh, Jeddah or elsewhere in Saudi Arabia. Where on-site filming, local permits, fabrication, event access, talent, Arabic copy or other market-specific responsibilities are required, those items are identified in the proposal and coordinated with the client or appropriate Saudi-based specialists.

Agency Selection

Choosing a partner

Saudi search results contain local agencies, regional networks and international providers with very similar service lists. A stronger comparison is whether the team can define the commercial problem, separate Riyadh and Jeddah context where it matters, explain Arabic/English responsibilities honestly and connect pack architecture, visual hierarchy, labels, SKU systems, bilingual information planning and production artwork to shelf clarity and production readiness.

  • Ask for a clear distinction between structural packaging and graphic packaging design.
  • Check how the agency handles product families and SKU expansion.
  • Plan Arabic/English information before the front panel becomes visually locked.
  • Confirm who supplies and approves regulatory, ingredient and legal copy.
  • Require final artwork to follow the actual printer/manufacturer dieline and specifications.
  • Review physical mockups or proofs when material, finish or colour is commercially important.
Frequently Asked Questions

Frequently asked questions

Do you have an office in Riyadh or Jeddah?

No. Ali Tarhan Digital Atelier works internationally and does not claim a Saudi office. Projects can be led remotely, while local production, permits, Arabic language work or physical execution are coordinated with the client or qualified Saudi-based specialists when required.

Should Saudi marketing be English-only or bilingual?

It depends on the audience. English can be appropriate for international, B2B and some professional contexts, but Arabic can be essential for local reach and trust. Arabic copy and RTL execution should be scoped as real creative work, not added as an automatic translation step.

Can one strategy cover both Riyadh and Jeddah?

Yes when the proposition is shared, but the proof, sector emphasis, channel mix and content examples may need to change. We keep the brand system consistent while adapting the parts that materially affect relevance.

Can you design packaging in English and Arabic?

Yes. We can build bilingual-ready layouts around client-approved copy, with the reading order and text density considered from the concept stage.

Do you create dielines?

Where structural design is part of scope, we can develop or coordinate dielines. For supplier-specific production, the final approved dieline should come from or be confirmed by the manufacturer.

Can you redesign an entire SKU family?

Yes. We first establish the master hierarchy, then create rules for flavour, size, product type and tier so future SKUs can be added without redesigning the system.

Work with our team

Our team works from Istanbul. For projects in Saudi Arabia, we agree the working language, decision makers, review times and delivery formats at the briefing stage. Shooting, printing, permits, media booking and other local services are scoped separately with responsibilities agreed before commitment.

The price follows the approved scope; media spend and external production are separate.
